Alessandra Accogli

Alessandra is a first-year PhD Candidate at University College Dublin (UCD, Ireland), working on ways to enhance the legal response to climate change, in particular by adopting a more ecological perspective. As part of her PhD, she tutored in EU Economic Law. 
Alessandra holds an LLM in Public International Law from Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Belgium) where she took part in the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition 2020 with her team being awarded European Semi-Finalist. She also completed one-year Master’s degree in Political Science at ULB and a Second cycle Master's degree in Law at the University of Salento (UniSalento, Italy). As part of the latter she went on an Erasmus exchange for six months at the University of Lorraine (France). 
Alessandra has also worked as a Project Officer at ALL DIGITAL, an NGO based in Brussels, with the tasks of managing European funded projects in the field of digital skills development. 
She speaks Italian, English and French. She is interested in issues related to climate change and its intersections with biodiversity and ecosystem protection as well as human rights.
