Katrina is a London-born, Brussels-based moderator with a degree in Modern Languages from Oxford University. As part of an eclectic career path spanning steel-trading in West Africa to business development in the post-Soviet states, she spent four years as a Director and Head of Production of an award-winning broadcast PR company. Here, she put together news packages for BBC, Sky News, ITV, Channel 4, AP and Reuters, interviewing well-known figures from the arts, sport, fashion, business and political arenas. She has also designed and delivered media and presentation training for a unique TV, Radio and Film facility.
Since 2008, after a move from London to Brussels, Katrina has been moderating events – in the Belgian capital and across Europe – covering diverse topics and allied policy areas. These include R&I, technology and digitisation; agriculture, fisheries and maritime affairs; environment and climate change; energy, transport and mobility; human rights, employment/social affairs, and health.
From May 2020 Katrina has been MC and moderator of many online and hybrid events on different platforms. Alongside her moderating work, until 2017, she managed the creation and roll-out across Europe of multimedia EU communications campaigns targeting the public, and EU and national stakeholders.
Katrina speaks fluent French, decent rusty Russian and a dash of German alongside her native tongue.
