Great awards for great cities: does your city have what it takes?

With nearly 80% of Europe's citizens living in urban areas today, our cities are the centre of knowledge generation, of social movements, of economic activity and of the accumulation of capital, but at the same time, many major environmental and social challenges.  Some cities stand out, taking bold measures to tackle these challenges and to make their city better places to live, play, visit, work and grow old.

The European Commission recognises the important role local governments play in this process and looks to promote and reward cities that do particularly well in diverse areas, from fair and ethical trade, accessibility, environmental sustainability and transport, tourism, to innovation and cultural.

Does your city have what it takes to receive one of these prestigious EU awards? Join us for a speed-pitching session to learn more about the Commission's range of City Awards! The Commission's City Award managers will be on hand to give you all the information you could need, sharing the do's and don’ts, the tips and tricks, and highlighting the benefits of receiving an EU city award.

If you think your city deserves to be recognised, definitely not a session to miss! Who knows, your city might even become the next European Green Capital…!
