“Gen-E Fights for Zero Pollution” is a hackathon organised by JA Europe and JA Lithuania. Over the duration of the EU Green Week 2021, more than 50 students from across Europe will be gathered in teams to solve a given challenge, on the issue of Zero Pollution in the EU. Inspired by coders and computer programmers, hackathons are intense idea-generation events, over a set period of time. On 4 June, the students will pitch their innovative ideas to an international panel of judges, who will select the best idea. The winners of the “Gen-E Fights for Zero Pollution” hackathon will be announced during the session.
Junior Achievement (JA) is Europe’s largest provider of education programmes for entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy. Every year, we reach more than 4 million young people, with the support of 100,000 business volunteers and over 140,000 teachers.
Gen-E brings together those who believe in education, entrepreneurship and education. The Gen-E Fights for Zero Pollution Hackathon is taking place in the run up to the Gen-E 2021 Entrepreneurship Festival (29 June- 15 July 2021).
