Session 4.1

Urban mobility – designing your city

In collaboration with the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport, European Commission

Cities are invited to tell us about their progress in the area of sustainable mobility. We will present the EU’s urban mobility policy, focusing on the potential of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) to support the design of more sustainable cities, supported by the majority of city residents. Examples of key success stories will be shared by the panel.

Join us to find out more about how the Commission can help cities achieve better quality of life through cleaner transport options; and to share solutions to pressing issues such as congestion, air and noise pollution, climate change and road fatalities.

We will emphasise the role of SUMPs as a cornerstone of the Commission's urban mobility policy, satisfying the diverse transport needs of people and businesses, whilst improving quality of life.
