Session 6.1

The EU’s contribution to achieving global biodiversity goals

In partnership with DG DEVCO

The EU aims at an ambitious post-2020 global biodiversity framework for effectively addressing the global ecological crisis while supporting livelihoods, social and economic development and security. This session will consider how international action to address the drivers of biodiversity loss can be scaled up, with a view to achieving and implementing the new deal for nature and people. Panellists and guests will consider how EU Development cooperation can work with partners and stakeholders to contribute to this process.
