Closing session

Official closing in Brussels

With  the  European  elections  fast  approaching,  EU  Green  Week  2019  closes  with  a  look  to  the future,  and  an  examination  of  the  place  of  EU  environmental  policy  in  the  wider  context  of  EU legislation. What are the main take-aways, andwhat lessons can be learned? Are there obvious pitfalls  to  be  avoided? Can  policymakers  do  more  to  involve  citizens  in  the  process  of implementation?  And  in  a  time  of  mounting  Euroscepticism,  can  environmental  policy  help demonstratethe added value of policymaking at the EU level?
