What’s your innovative idea to make our future greener and more sustainable?

EU Green Week is the largest annual event in the European environmental calendar! This year, we are asking you to share your ideas, actions or projects that contribute to and create a greener, more sustainable Europe, on your own or collectively.

We’ll share the most innovative ideas and projects on our social channels. And the top 10 contributions 🏆 will star in the video shown to European policy makers at the EU Green Week conference, 15-17 May in Brussels.

Share in 4 easy steps!

Step 2: Capture how you’re contributing to a greener world in a picture, drawing or short video that’s no longer than 30-seconds.

Step 3: Post it on your Instagram or Twitter using the #MyGreenAction hashtag and remember to make your account public. Also include our social accounts by tagging our Instagram on @OurPlanet_EU, our Twitter on @EU_ENV, or our Facebook on @EUEnvironment.

Background

The theme of EU Green Week 2019 is "Environmental Implementation". EU environmental laws have a great impact on our lives: they are there to improve the quality of our water and the air we breath, they protect nature, promote the sustainable use of natural resources and encourage recycling. But these laws must be fully implemented to make a real difference. This is a concern to our whole society! Young people can take an active role in many ways – they can learn about the situation in their own country, voice their opinion in a public consultation about a project in their area or inspire others by showing actions that they are already taking to make Europe more sustainable. The #MyGreenAction challenge was launched by the European Commission to showcase the extraordinary commitment of European youth to making our future more sustainable.
